BEAUTY CHECK is a compact mirror created in collaboration between BY THE RAY and the Polish family brand and manufacturer Raje Mirrors. It is a unique, stylish accessory that resulted from a shared vision of beauty - one that you don't have to search far for, as it is often closer than we think. Just look in the mirror.

The mirror was created in a limited edition, with only 100 unique pieces produced. Each one has an individual, hand-calligraphed number on its cardboard packaging. It's one of a kind - just like you.
From the very beginning, the mirror production process had a specific goal: to produce in Poland, at every stage. In contrast to mass-produced ultra-fast fashion in the accessories industry, we consciously opt for the highest quality craftsmanship, mindfulness, and local sourcing. The production of each mirror takes over 50 days.
The lightweight, handy, and compact mirror in a practical case is perfect for everyday touch-ups, travel, and whenever you need a quick glance at yourself and a little reminder: you got this.

How we produce
Made in Poland. Due to the handcrafted nature of production, individual pieces may vary slightly, which is what gives them their unique character.
The production of each BEAUTY CHECK mirror takes over 50 days. We grind the glass panes in Lubawa, Warmia. The engravements on the frames are made the Baltic Sea. We attached the glass and paint the frame by hand. Our cotton pouches are sewn in the Podhale region. The icing on the cake is the individual number of each mirror - lovingly calligraphed by hand... in Warsaw.

YOU GOT THIS
We provocatively named our project BEAUTY CHECK. From the beginning, we knew that we didn't want to create an accessory that would remind us of making improvements, controlling ourselves, or constantly striving for perfection. We were much more drawn to the idea of a daily ritual of pausing for a moment and looking at ourselves with greater kindness, tenderness, and appreciation. Look in the mirror - and see your biggest fan looking back at you.
__THE PROCESS
CRAFTED WITH LOVE
We wanted to translate the nobility of our vision into the production process. We set one goal for ourselves: to create locally, at every stage. From grinding the glass panes, through hand-painting the frame, to sewing the cotton case - every step is carried out in Polish manufactories: in Gdańsk, Masuria, Podhale and Mazovia. Although it takes over 50 days to produce a single mirror, we know that true craftsmanship requires time, precision, and conscious decisions.
